I was so happy when a letter appeared in my mailbox from my littlest niece Anna thanking me for staying with her at Christmas. I immediately began scouring my place for some cool papers to craft a letter back. Instead I came across some pictures from college and the wave of nostalgia brought a tear to my eyes.
When visiting Lee Lee’s, our Oriental supermarket (we’ve been into making Pho) I spotted some colorful paper I thought she might enjoy. At the checkout they could tell I didn’t know what I was buying and let me know they were decorations for the Chinese New Year. I’ve seen some beautiful collages by other bloggers and this is my attempt. The bamboo leaves cut out of money symbolize a prosperous new year. The character on the silver square means horse (of course).
Love it! Vibrant and so interesting.
